During UCL's Green Week 2010 we teamed up with several UCL societies to promote ways to mend, eat and shop that will help us all consume less and more efficiently. World consumption is the primary problem in regard to environmental degredation - and we're not just talking carbon emissions but the wider effects of deforestation for agrofuels, bitumen and meat production.
We incorporated these themes into a week of workshops, discussions, presentations, film, music, poetry, food etc. to really inspire students to take hands on action
Our events
We had a stall runnin every day on the ground floor of the UCL Union everyday, with information -including our Green guides, freebies, and an opportunity to sign our petition for a full-time Environmental Manager
Monday-
UCL Modo fashion workshop got creative and taught us how to repair, refashion and recycle our old clothes, as well as how to sew animals from of old fabric for some unique present ideas
